This book examines the “virtual” and “imagination” of mobility in texts, revealing imaginative, invisible, or suppressed contexts of mobility that cannot typically be captured through more objective or observational methods of representation. It aims to uncover potential mobilities that have not yet been realized or that remain suppressed.

The field of mobility humanities now seeks to visualize potential mobilities as a way to shape future mobility societies from the perspective of “mobility justice.” This explains why the book is structured in three parts: •“Mobility Representation and Place-Making in Text” ”Transnational Practices of Mobility and Politics/Governance/Ethics” ”Mobility and Today’s Condition of Future World: Environment, Climate, City.”
