The Centre for Humanities Education at the Academy of Mobility Humanities is pleased to announce the 2026 Humanities Fair 〈Book Review Contest〉 as outlined below. We warmly welcome your participation!
1. Eligibility: Open to all citizens who enjoy reading
2. Submission period: Monday, June 22 – Sunday, July 12, 2026
3. How to participate: Read one of the following books published by the Konkuk Univserity (KU) Academy of Mobility Humanities and submit a book review.

Infrastructure Humanities Exploration

Mobility of Things Festival
The Mobility Education Center of the Academy of Mobility Humanities will host the 2025 Mobility of Things Festival.
Through the Mobility of Things Festival, which encourages the sharing of unused items with those who need them, the event aims to promote the practice of resource circulation for environmental protection and to foster the value of sharing. At the same time, it seeks to raise public awareness of climate change as an infrastructural crisis facing humanity and to contribute to the wider dissemination of the agenda of Infrastructure Humanities.

Infrastructure Humanities Cafe
The Humanities Education Center is hosting the Infrastructure Humanities Cafe in collaboration with the Seochogu Banpo Library.
Over four sessions (October 14 (Tue), October 21 (Tue), October 28 (Tue), and November 4 (Tue) participants will read and discuss mobility humanities books.The first session on October 14 (Tue) will feature a special lecture by Youngseok Choi, Ph.D. in Modern Korean Literature from Yonsei University and translator of Encountering Difference: The Traces of Diaspora, the Spaces of Creolization.

Photo Contest
The Humanities Education Center holds a Photo Contest under the theme “Environment and Infrastructure.”

Eligibility: Open to all (individual participation only; group entries not accepted)

Theme: “Environment and Infrastructure” (e.g., coexistence with nature, traces of climate change, sustainable future, life without plastics, disappearing nature, etc.)

Submission Requirements:
One entry per person
Must be an original work created by the entrant who holds full copyright -
Disqualified Works:
Entries that do not match the theme or specifications
Works previously submitted to other contests, award-winning works (or similar works), or works deemed plagiarized -
Submission Period: July 14 (Mon) – July 31 (Thu), 2025

Grand Prize (1 person): 300,000 KRW
Gold Prize (2 people): 200,000 KRW

JPG file, at least 3,000 pixels on the longer side
Color correction allowed, but no shape modification or image compositing (details of corrections must be specified)
Final award-winning works must submit the original file (RAW, etc.)
