Mobile Communities: Multiculturalism and Ethics

In this policy seminar, Kyungju Park, an administrative activist from the Refugee Rights Centre, and Professor Myungkwang Kim, a lecturer at the Korean Education Department at Dague University held a seminar focusing on “Refugee Rights in Korean Society” and “Research on Foreigner Settlement and Residence.”

The seminar explored the regulations imposed on mobile communities in Korean society and discussed immigration trends, diversity, and inclusivity issues of refugees and international students in the multicultural society. During the seminar, an administrative activist, Park, presented policies for promoting the acceptance and integration of refugees with refugee statistics and support budgets in Korean society. Professor Kim discussed foreigner settlement, focusing on the statistics of the domestic employment of international students and the visa issuance for employment opportunities.
