This event was held twice, on June 21 and June 28, to familiarise middle-aged and elderly people with the meaning of mobility by exploring the culture of their community.
Thirty local residents participated in the “Mobility Humanities of Walking” programme, led by Chanwoong Lim, a traditional cultural guide from the National Folk Museum of Korea. The first session was a tour of Yeon-dong Church, Yeon-dong Missionary House, and Christian Church Hall under the theme of “Seeing and Hearing the Enlightenment and Independence Movement in Yeon-dong.” The second session’s tour included the site of Oriental Development Company, Siksan Bank, Mitsukoshi Department Store, Chosun Saving Bank, and Gyeongseong Government Post Office, focusing on the theme “Suneunjeon Square, the Centre of Gyeongseong.”
